During this week my group and i had to plan for our preliminary task. Initially we had a clear idea of what was going to be the simple plot and whereabouts we would film the task. We decided to choose the then we began immediately after. I was responsible for creating the script for our task while my other group members proceeded with the remaining tasks. As i began to create the script i researched examples from other students who took part in the same preliminary task. After that i realized that the task was relatively simple and it would not take a long period of time to film.
I believe that our final product was very good and that we included the key techniques and fulfilled most of the requirements needed to complete the task. The feedback we gained also was an highlight as i believe our task stood out amidst our peers productions and most importantly i feel that i contributed a lot and that i worked well with my group members to ensure the success of the task. There were a few improvements that could have been made but overall we completed to the task to a good enough standard.
Over the next few tasks i am sure that i will be able to develop and give more contributions to the group. I also think that i will be allowed the opportunity to develop new skills and take part in other roles that i am not in particularly comfortable with in order to be able to effectively support my group. For example my camerawork for example which i would like to improve. Overall i am satisfied with how well my group and i have done so far.
During this week my group and i thought of ideas for production. Such as our production logo ideas. We created a few with online website software and gave our thoughts on each. Also during this week i completed the analysis for the preliminary task.Research and Planning is not very consistent though but i am sure we will improve.
Production Log Week 3
This week my group and i created our film opening analysis. I did mine on the film Dark Knight. Furthermore during this week i planned the shot by shot remake with my group. I had to think of a location and who would be allocated to each role in production. Finally we decided to research potential film opening that were possible to recreate for our shot by shot remake.
Production Log Week 4
This week i continued with researching potential films for our remake. The films that my group and i came up with were Lets be cops, Ted 2, Taken 2 and scream. We decided afterwards to find our location with the film being Lets be Cops. The scene is set in a cafe so we searched for one in the area. However it turned out to be unsuccessful. I decided it was easier to film within the school so i chose another film opening which was a film named "Snatch". i decided to do the camerawork asdi had known it was not my strongest things during filming but i wanted to build my confidence and be able to contribute more on future tasks.It was eventually successful and i awaited for my other group members to edit the footage.
Production Log Week 5
This week i looked at the footage from our shot by shot remake . I believe it went fairly well although there could have been many improvements which i did not realise during filming but mistakes are made.Overall research and planning is doing better but now i must focus on completing the remaining research tasks so that my group and i can be prepared for our actual film opening.
Production Log Week 6
During this week i had to give in my idea of what i think the script should be about fro our film opening sequence. I had to share my script with the other members of my group so that we could decide which script was best suited for our film opening. Firstly i had to annotate my script for any conventions that are typical to the action genre and annotate the dialogue that is conventional in action genre films. Once i finished i continued with the tasks on the blog that had to be completed.
Production Log Week 7
This week i had to continue to check tasks that were required for the blog and complete them so that we could focus on planning for our film opening. I also thought about some initial titles for our film opening. At the moment planning and research is not as good as it should be because of other pieces of work for other subjects that is not making it easy to keep up with tasks but i a sure that i will be able to complete the amount of tasks that are set.

This week i continued with research and planning. I also went out with my group members to conduct our recce so that we would have an idea of what potential locations would suit our film opening. I figured that i would use our script that we created to visualize certain scenes that we could make a reality in a a certain location. We are a little behind schedule but planning is still in progress but i am confident that we will be able to get moving.

During this week it has been difficult to complete tasks as there are many duties from other subjects that has hindered my progress. However we are still able to complete certain tasks by helping each other and being able to separate tasks that are better suited to each of our skill sets. i think i am now making good progress and we are slowly getting somewhere on track towards production.
